Bowling Coach

Nottinghamshire alumnus Andy Pick returned to Trent Bridge this spring as a specialist bowling coaching, completing an off-season coaching restructure at the Club.

As a player, Pick turned out for Nottinghamshire for 14 years, between 1983 and 1997, taking 454 first class wickets.

After retiring, he began his coaching career at Bedford School, tutoring Alastair Cook, among others. From there, he moved to the North East, before becoming coach for the England Under 19s.

He helped the young professionals to two consecutive World Cup semi-finals, before spending a year in Canada. His last placement was as High Performance Manager for the USA’s Cricket Association. After leaving his post in October, Mick Newell made Pick his number one target to add specialist knowledge to Nottinghamshire’s bowling attack as the county look to increase their wickets tally for the 2014 season.
