Travis Holland struck an unbeaten century to guide Nottinghamshire to a draw in a rain-reduced  three day fixture against Lancashire, despite being on the back foot with a first innings deficit.

The hosts declared 101 runs ahead in Warrington with early wickets required to force a result, and they were found with the Green and Golds 46-3 inside 12 overs.

But Holland’s 131 ball vigil alongside patient support from Josh Beer (32 from 78 deliveries) saw the visitors towards, and beyond parity, with time eventually called when the rain arrived in the afternoon session.
